Martin Heaton founded ‘The Joker Entertainment Company’ originally called ‘The Joker’ in May 2002 at just 15 years of age. Martin originally worked alone providing Circus Workshops but has never stopped expanding and now provides a whole range of services and a whole range of different entertainers to suit any event at any time of year.
Now with 18 years in the business our team of dedicated, experienced and reliable entertainers have done countless events for a wide range of clients from schools to shops to councils as well as tv appearances, private parties and work with SEN in areas across the country and abroad.

"As proprietor of 'The Joker Entertainment' I am dedicated to every booking, no matter how big or small. I am involved in every booking we take on whether it be the planning or the execution and make it my mission to make sure every job runs as smoothly as possible.
I also believe that in this day and age safety is of the utmost importance therefor we have public liability insurance for all acts which is available on request as well as risk assessments for all services.
I have been involved with circus skills since I was just 11 years of age, its my passion. I love my job and the people I meet and could not imagine doing anything else. I look forward to meeting you"

At ‘The Joker Entertainment’ we can provide a number of services including: Circus Workshops, Performances, Parades, Balloon Modelling, Animal Mascot Costumes, Clowns, Stilt Walking, Glow Acts, Fire Acts, Animal Handling, Face Painting, Arts and Crafts, Santa’s Grotto and Dance Workshops.
We can also provide a wide range of activities at your school or workplace with our ‘School Circus Days’ and ‘Team Building Workshops’, where pupils, teachers and employees alike can join in the fun and bond through team work.
Another great service we offer, to advertise your company are our walking, talking billboards. Our characters can wear your company logo and hand out promotional material.
We have worked with large companies such as ‘Cadbury’, ‘F1’, ‘Asda’, ‘Tesco’, ‘Alton Towers’, ‘Dreams’, ‘Ikea’, ‘Walls’, ‘The Derbyshire Building Society’, ‘JYSK’ and up and coming restaurant ‘Giraffe’ as well as smaller companies such as ‘Toys for Boys’ and ‘Castlegate’ advertising their company via our Stilt Walkers, Clowns, Balloon Modelers, Animal Mascot Costumes, Circus Workshops and Face Painters.
Proprietor Martin Heaton and his entertainers have taken part in high profile events rubbing shoulders with David Attenborough, Linford Christie, Chris Kamara, Kelly Holmes, Kevin Mccloud, Chesney Hawkes, Katy Ashworth as well as Bernie Ecclestone, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa.
We have also worked in Schools around the Midlands, providing playday activities as well as ‘School Circus Days’, ‘Team Building Exercises’ and work in after school clubs. Our company has provided entertainment for people with special needs, with both mental and physical disabilities, by focusing on the senses. This has proved successful with all ages.
