Structured Workshops

We have put together a range of session plans for our structured circus workshops so you can optimise our workshop services. These plans may vary slightly depending on the circumstances of the day, if you would like to discuss a specific session plan please give us a call.

We have 3 'Structured Taster Workshops' each lasting around 1 hour. The 'Structured Taster Workshops' can be booked as 1 hour workshops or glued together to create longer more involved session plans.

The tutor will begin with a demonstration, introducing the equipment that will be used through the hour. The group will then be split into 6 small groups and will each be designated either Juggling Balls, Juggling Clubs, Diabolo, Flower Sticks, Spinning Plates, or Poi.

Each group will spend between 5 and 10 minutes with each piece of equipment before being instructed to move onto the next. By the end of the hour everyone will have had a go of all the equipment available including a couple of extras at the end such as hoola hoops, all participants will know the basic skills and theory behind using each piece of equipment and will have gained new basic skills.

The tutor will begin with a demonstration, quickly showing how the chosen model will be made. The tutor will then proceed, introducing the equipment that will be used through the hour. The participants will then be shown step by step, one twist at a time how to make the chosen model. Once the initial model has been successfully made participants will be encouraged and guided through making additional balloons and designs and will hopefully be able to make at least one model unassisted by the end of the session.
